Home | About Mrs. Parnell | Classes Taught |
- Be on time every day. This does not mean just in the
room, but in your assigned seat and ready to begin the day’s
assignment when the tardy bell rings.
- Textbooks are your responsibility. You are to bring them to class
everyday unless instructed otherwise.
Failure to have your textbook will result in no grade for the assignment
and it will have to be made up at a later date or for homework. Students will be charged for lost
or damaged textbooks.
- Stay at your assigned computer unless otherwise
instructed by the teacher to use a different machine. You are responsible for your computer station. Should a problem arise, it is
your responsibility to notify the teacher immediately.
- NO FOOD, DRINKS OR CANDY ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM. These
items should not be brought into the classroom. We have computers in the room and
these items can cause damage to them.
If you are found with them in class, they will be disposed of
immediately.
- Students should be prepared to remain in the
classroom for the entire period. Only in extreme emergencies
are students to use the restroom and take care of personal business during
class time. The decision to
allow students to leave class will be that of the teachers.
- Students will be marked tardy if they are not in
class by the designated time. Tardies will be dealt with as indicated in the student
handbook.
- If a student must be absent from class, he or she
is responsible for securing any missed assignments and submitting them to
the teacher. Please make
arrangements with the instructor if you need to make up missed work. It is your responsibility to make
sure you get the assignments you are missing and submit them for grading.
- Tampering with or vandalizing a computer in the
lab is a serious offense. It is treated as any other
vandalism incident on school grounds.
This includes altering the computer setup in any way, removing the
track ball from the mouse, switching cables, adding passwords,
screensavers or any other setting on the computer. Student’s assigned computers
are checked regularly for these things and if anything is found, they will
be referred immediately to an administrator.
- Internet use is for classroom activities
only. Students should not use
the Internet for personal use, such as checking email or obtaining song
lyrics. Students who are found
using the Internet for inappropriate purposes will be disciplined
accordingly.
Here is a checklist
